One day Polly sees a poster about good citizens at school.

She decides she wants to be a good citizen.

At recess, Polly sees Miss Brown.

Miss Brown is carrying a lot of books.

‘Let me open the door for you, Miss Brown,’ says Polly.

‘Thank you, Polly,’ says Miss Brown.

After school Polly goes home by bus.

A pregnant lady gets on Polly's bus, but there are no seats.

Polly gives up her seat to the lady.

Then Polly finds a purse under a seat.

She gives it to the driver.

‘You’re an honest girl,’ says the driver.

Polly gets off the bus.

She sees some people collecting money for the poor.

Polly gives them some money.

Then Polly sees her neighbour Mr Li.

He has a lot of shopping.

She carries his shopping for him.

When Polly gets home, she tells her mum about her day.

“I'm tired, Mum, but I'm happy,” says Polly.
